It's that time of year when lots of kids are having birthdays. Here is a party that you that I came up with that you might want to have for your party!
Campout themed party!
For invitations: Draw tents on pieces of paper, Then write the party details inside. (You know, time, date, where, please bring, etc.)
Activities: When your friends get to your house, help them carry they're sleeping bags and pillows out to a big tent in your backyard. Then you can get the activities started! You can make glow-in-the-dark necklaces with glow-in-the-dark beads found out craft stores such as Michael's and Hobby Lobby. After that it will probably be dinner time, and you can have hamburgers or hotdogs, or whatever you usually eat when you go camping.
Then you can have cake and open presents, and after that, you can roast marshmallows on your grill. (I just love roasted marshmallows, don't you?!) Then you can watch a movie in the tent, by watching a movie on you or your parents' computer, or slipping a DVD in it. You can even sleep in the tent when it's time to go to bed! Oh, and you can sign each other's pillow cases with permanent markers. Just make sure its okay with you and your friends' parents to do it first.
For party favors: The glow-in-the-dark necklaces work as activities and party favors, but if you feel that's not enough, you can also hand out mini flashlights or trail-mix with candy in it before your friends leave.
For cake: You can have a log shaped cake, with things like flowers, frogs, birds, or even forest fairies on it made out of icing.
Hope you have a great birthday!
