Christmas Eve!

This is what Christmas Eve in California looks like! There's Ashley in the yellow and white rash guard, near the railing, and there's me in the purple rash guard, plugging my nose to go under water.

Last night we had my mom's yummy eggnog! Mmmm...

This morning me, Ashley, and Ginger, decided to get dressed up for Christmas Eve. We all went into my bathroom and brushed our hair and teeth and I put in my new blue flower earrings and we changed into fancy dresses. Me and Ginger decided to put on necklaces for a finishing touch. Ashley and Ginger didn't want their pictures taken, so here's just my outfit.

Now for some previous Christmas photos! Can you guess who this is? It's me almost five years ago!! I'm making gingerbread cookies, as you can see.

And here's Ashley making gingerbread cookies too!

Here is a picture of the cookies we made when they were done. We were going to make gingerbread men, but we did not have gingerbread men cookie cutters, so we used teddy bear cookie cutters instead.

Now for some slightly more recent Christmas photos. These ones were taken last Christmas. Here is Ashley and me. I'm not sure what I'm doing in this picture. Am I singing?

I think in this one I'm just being funny. Maybe that's what I was doing in the other photo too.

Here's Ginger borrowing my type writer. She looks kind of ferocious, don't you think? That's Ginger for you.

I just had to put in this photo of my mom and Ginger because it's so cute and pretty!

Love,

How to make Snow Globe Decorations!

You'll need:

Clear plastic party cups (if you can find some with snowflakes on them, that's what I used)
Cotton balls
White glitter
Cardboard
Super Glue
Regular glue
Cute ornaments

Directions: First, take the cup and trace it onto the cardboard. Cut the circle out and glue on your ornament.

Next, drizzle regular glue around the ornament. Unravel a cotton ball, tear it into a couple pieces, and press onto the glue. Next sprinkle glitter over it.

Then carefully superglue the cup to the cardboard! Merry Christmas!!

Deck The Halls

Mmm, yes, I agree with Nancy.

It seems weird to have snowflakes in our house and not any outside.

Close up of one of the snowflakes.

Quite obviously, our tree.

I made this ornament when I was very young. I'm not even sure what it's supposed to be. It looks like an egg, but it's got gold sequins stabbed in it. Hmm...

Mr. Bird.

St. Lucia.

The star.

Gnomes me and Ashley and our dad made a few years ago.

My stocking!

Nancy's tree!

One of Nancy's favorite ornaments.

Well, have a Merry Christmas!!

Christmas is coming!

As requested by Lauren, here are some stocking stuffers that you can make for your doll!

Doll Candy Cane

To make the doll candy cane is really quite easy. You can either make one out of salt dough, (click HERE to read how to make salt dough) and then paint red and white stripes on it, or you can take a pipe cleaner, trim it to the right size, bend it into a doll candy cane, and string red and white beads on it.

Teddy Bear and Stocking For Your Doll's Doll

You might have a doll for your doll. You can make a tiny teddy bear for your doll's doll, and a tiny stocking too. For the teddy bear, you cut the shape of a tiny teddy bear of a piece of brown or white felt, and cut it out. Repeat. Unravel a cotton ball and tear it apart. Place it on one of the felt teddies. Glue the other felt teddy onto the other one. Let dry. Trim a ribbon down the middle to make it less wide. Tie it around the teddy bear's neck. Take a thin black Sharpie and draw a teddy bear face on the head.
For the stocking, do the same thing, except stocking shaped, and no cotton and no ribbon and no Sharpie face.

Doll Purse

This is very easy. Just glue or sew together pieces of felt and add a strand of ribbon for a strap.

Soon I will be posting how to make a fake snow globe as a decoration or Christmas gift. Bye!

Three day trip!

Hello!

Me and my family are on a three day trip! Yesterday we went to Ashley's horse back riding lessons, and I ate trail mix and chatted with a horse named BeBe while she rode. (My riding lessons don't start for a couple weeks.)

After that we drove to my parents' friend Dr. Murphy's brother's house.

Here is the fish tank.

Me, Ashley, and Ginger really like this cat. (Which was not surprising at all to my parents because I'm obsessed with cats and kittens.)

At 5:00 we decided to go to a gluten free pizza place for dinner. Here's me, Ashley, Ginger, and Dr. Murphy when we got out of the car. I'm the one in the blue sweater.

The palm trees had lights wrapped around their trunks. Ginger thought they were so cool!

On the way back to Dr. Murphy's brother's house we stopped by a grocery store to get goat brie cheese, BBQ flavored potato chips, and dairy free chocolate ice cream for a delicious, after dinner snack. Then the adults sat and talked while Ashley played with a toy car, and me and Ginger sat on the giant bean bag chair and watched Good Luck Charlie, Jessie, and The Suite Life on Deck on the laptop. Soon Ginger fell asleep.

After breakfast in the morning Ginger played with some Pet Shops. I just love this picture because it's so colorful.

Soon after that Nancy packed up her backpack and suitcase and put her "pet kitten" Praline in her pet carrier, and in a few minutes we'll be leaving for my parents' other friend's house and then we're going to a birthday party.

That's all for today!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving is almost here! What are you thankful for? I'm thankful for my family, friends, clean water, healthy food, a safe home, cars, airplanes, email, phones, kindness, understanding, peace, nature, books, music, fun, etc etc.

If you're on Animal Jam, send me a Jam-a-Gram saying Cornbread, and I'll send you either a silver brick, a pilgrim hat, a turkey hat, an orange welcome place mat, or an orange mailbox. Make sure to tell me in the Jam-a-Gram saying which one you want. And if it's the pilgrim hat or turkey hat, please say what color you want.

I'm not sure what else to put in this post. Hmm...oh, I know! Here are some Thanksgiving questions and my answers. Some of them are funny! After reading my answers, why don't you answers my questions yourself? You can ask family and friends the questions too! It's really fun!

Q: What are you thankful for?
A: Hey, I already said what I'm thankful for!
Q: What's your favorite Thanksgiving food?
A: The cornbread!! And this year, I get to make it!!!

Q: Do you like turkey?
A: Nope.
Q: Did you know that there's such a thing as chocolate covered turkey?
A: Yep, I found out from a Gilmore Girls episode!

Q: Have you ever dressed up like a turkey or a pilgrim before?
A: I'm not sure. I might have when I was four or five.
Q: Have you ever worn Thanksgiving nail stickers before?
A: No, but I plan to someday!

Q: Which of these Thanksgiving pies do you like better, apple pie, pumpkin pie, or pecan pie?
A: Apple pie.
Q: Which of these Thanksgiving colors do you like better, orange, red, yellow, or brown?
A: Yellow.

Well, that's I can think of. Have a fantastic Thanksgiving!

P.S. Lauren, I'm sorry, my email account is not working, so I haven't been able to check my messages. My dad is going to try to fix it soon.

Our Weekend

On Saturday we went to Santa Rosa Plateau. I brought Nancy with me on Saturday, but I forgot to take photos of her.

Here's me and Ashley and Ginger walking down the bridge at Santa Rosa Plateau. You can't really see Ginger because she's in front of Ashley.

Here's me and Ginger walking on the trail.

We all took turns holding hands with Ginger. Here's my dad's turn, with me and Ashley farther up ahead.

Here's us on the 300 year old tree. My parents are going to use this photo for our Christmas card.

On Sunday we went to Lake Skinner. On the way we stopped at Target so my mom could quickly run in while we waited in the car. Here's Ginger taking the car for a joyride. Hahaha!

As we drove to Lake Skinner we passed some army men in tank-looking cars. I waved to them. They certainly saw me, but the were quite content on just sitting in the car with serious faces.

Here's me at Lake Skinner. Isn't the lake so pretty?! I love how it's glittering.

Well, that's the pictures from the weekend! We also went to an all gluten free cafe and bakery for lunch and a treat each, but I forgot to take photos of that. I had a yummy pulled pork sandwich and a sugar cookie. Also, here's a picture Lauren made!

One more thing: My collage from American Girl's new My Style Collage game!

Well, that's all for today. Wishing you a day full of fun,
